Distant scenery of a photo is blurred and needs editing |
Photo with distant scenery that is blurred |
Faraway scenery tends to appear dim due to atmospheric conditions. In other words, contrast (the degree of difference between light and dark), color (the amount of colors) and sharpness (the clearness of outline) are lacking in the photo. When this kind of photo is scanned, its beauty can be restored with image editing software in the following way. First, its contrast must be raised. Next, its saturation (the color density and purity, one of the three elements of colors) must be slightly increased. Finally sharpness must be raised. |
